I’m a stone and you’re a star
At two ends our worlds are
I gaze up from my stream and
I dream what you see
Is it me?

I have fallen long ago
The fire has turned cold
Drowned in memories I failed to
Embrace you

In my river flows a sky
That I try to fly
A reflection of you leaves
A wake over me
And I see

A distance; a touch of daylight
You’re fading out of sight
I can almost hold you close
Your smile lingers in my soul
I can almost hold you close
Your light frays in Time’s flow
